Pictures of one of the Dutton homes in Pennsylvania. It is located on Dutton's Mill Road southwest of Philadelphia. The current owners are in the process of renovating the house. It originally had eleven bedrooms and one bath. They are putting in additional bathrooms and leaving eight bedrooms. The owners intend on making a bed and breakfast of the place.
The owners gave my brother these pictures. On the opposite street corner from this location is a structure that was once a mill purchased by the Dutton family in the 1740s. It is now home to several apartments. Directly across the street from this house is a stone and stucco two floor structure that was a family home. In the stone work is a stone with a date from 1790s (1792 if I remember correctly). When I visited the site in 1978, the owners at the time of the pictured house told us that they had bought it from a Dutton family in the late 1940s.
